Liebster Award Nomination

Hey Guys,
Just wanted to do a quick post and thank the beautiful Jessica Roberts for the Liebster Award nomination. If you haven’t been over to her blog, make sure you all check it out now! She is very informative and always gives a great read - love her posts!

Read below to see my response to her questions:

Whats your biggest passion in life?
Well, plain as day, as corny as this may sound. My biggest passion in life would be my family. Coming from a relatively small family, I always got so so excited to get together when we could  and just spend time with each other. I love christmases and Easters and any occasion where we all get to be in the same room at the same time lol! I have always wanted a big big family, and after meeting my partner a couple of years back, I have been so excited to start my own asap. Family is so important to me, more important then my career aspirations, or any hobbie I have.

If you had the chance to meet a Celebrity (Dead/Alive) Who would it be?
Oooh I like this one… Um well if I be honest with myself, and with you guys it would definitely be Leonardo DiCaprio YUHHH! I am so in love with that guy seriously, love all his movies, been obsessed since I first saw Titanic. He was the first name that came to mind when I thought celeb!

Who is your favourite Author?
Favourite author would have to be – J.K Rowling. (I’m answering these questions as honest as I can okay Haha.) But in all seriousness, Harry Potter I could read over and over again. I love fantasy novels or any sort of historical book on war or events. But who doesn’t love Harry Potter – I probably sound like a big kid but I don’t care, love that shiz!

What Inspired you to start your blog?
Before I even watched any You tube Gurus or read ANY blogs, I was reading Domestic Divinity. I was actually really close friends with her brother a couple of years back and when I met Mez and she introduced me to the wonderful world of blogging. Before I met her, I thought blogs were just crap. Anyway I started to read her blog and found it really engaging. About a year later I started mine, and have found it just a really great way to keep a diary of all my favourite moments, and aspirations.

Who is your role model?
Definitely my grandmother, she was the most caring gorgeous woman I will ever know. I genuinely wish that I could be more like her. We were not related by blood as she adopted my mum from a baby, but yet I felt like we couldn’t be any closer. She only passed last year and I miss her all the time.

If you could give yourself from five years ago, any advice, what would it be?
I would tell myself that Firstly, You don’t always have to please everyone all the time. Secondly, be honest with how you feel, what you believe in and who you are , even if it means losing people from your life. Thirdly, don’t try and control every aspect of your life. You are not in control– God is, so trust that he knows what’s best for you, even if you don’t like it!

I’m definitely going to find out how to nominate some of my followers for the award, cause I think it’s a really great way to acknowledge upcoming bloggers and get to know some really lovely people.
I hope you guys appreciate my honesty and got some insight into the kind of person I am lol. At least once a week I will try and answer any new questions you guys have for me.
Thank you all for the kind words and for following, I love following you all back!

I leave you now with this weird picture of me, on my way to my Blue Mountains Holiday.
There will be a more detailed post for this little holiday very SOON. But right now, I have limited Internet access as I'm cooped up in the hotel - it is so cold that little flakes of frost from the fog are falling lol. I am rugged up with all my Kmart goodies on and got the heater up full ball!

  9. Hello Elle,

Just chanced upon your blog and saw that you've been given the Liebster Award too. Congrats! I received mine just over a month ago and wrote a post about it called 'The Liebster Award: My Slambook Revival'. It did remind me of highschool and really enjoyed the Q&A.

Glad to have stumbled upon your blog when you posted your Liebster answers. Got to know you a little bit more on my first visit :)

I'm very touched about your grandma. That's very sweet of you.

    Have a lovely weekend

Hope to hear from you :)
